Have you found yourself saying “if only I get more people to actually read my blog.” You love the views, but really really want more reading time. Your passion has become blogging. You find it a little discouraging when you work hard on an article and no one seems to be that interested.

I have been there. We have all been there.

What does it take to move your audience from view mode to read mode?

Let’s Look at 10 Proven Ways to Get Your Audience to READ Your Blog.

  • I know you have all heard this advice at nauseum. To be a successful blogger you have to be a consistent blogger. The truth is, people will visit your blog on a regular basis if they know that the content is fresh. This doesn’t mean that you have to post every morning at 7:00 a.m. It does mean though, that you show up on a regular basis. People need to know that they can count on YOU. If you treat blogging like a real job it just may become that one day. The key to successful blogging is perseverance over the long haul.
  • Take advantage of your email subscribers. These are the people that will remember your blog and visit it on a regular basis. Just seeing a post or email from you in their inbox reminds them that your blog exists. Make sure to acknowledge any comments or responses. And return the favor. Subscribe as well.
  • Look for a need and satisfy it. What value is your blog bringing to people? What need are you filling? If you are meeting a genuine need, people will want to tell their friends about you.
  • Read other blogs and comment. Leave thoughtful responses on other blog sites. The owners of these blogs are likely to wander over to your blog in return. Make sure your comment adds value to the discussion. Say more than “great post.”
  • Try writing a guest post. Many blogs accept well written and relevant guests posts. This is a very effective way to bring your writing style and blog to a new audience. This blog post has to be excellent work and fit the intended audience.
