Eat to Create! A Delicious Meal!

Foods to boost your genius!

You really can eat to create!

In a previous article I talked about the importance of Tyrosine and Dopamine.

You are probably thinking why the heck should I care.

It turns out that Tyrosine is a nutrient known for enhancing brain function; specifically creativity. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter known for inducing the feelings of well-being. What a great combination for a writer!

The following recipe is loaded with tyrosine and dopamine; both of which are guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing. It is gluten free. It is from bbcgoodfood.com and quite simple to make.

SPICY TUNA QUINOA SALAD

The prep and cook time are 10 mins. It serves 4.

You will need: 1 onion, sliced, 350g pepper sliced, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 red chili, finely chopped, 225g pouch ready- to-eat quinoa (or boil your own), 350g cherry tomato, halved, handful black olives, chopped, 225g jar albacore tuna in olive oil, flaked. Save some of the tuna oil for a little drizzle.

Step 1: Heat oil and fry the peppers and onions until soft. Add the chili and let cool slightly.

Step 2: Mix the quinoa, pepper and onion mixture, cherry tomatoes, olives and tuna together. Divide between four plates. Drizzle with a little left over tuna oil, season and ENJOY!
