IF refers to intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has dramatic science proven health benefits. These include lower blood pressure, lower weight, lower sugar, less inflammation, arthritis, asthma and cancer.

IF works by giving your body a break. A break from heaving to turn refined carbohydrates such as sugar and refined grains into sugars that our cells use for energy. If this energy is not used it turns to fat. IF gives our bodies a much needed break from having to use the hormone insulin to get sugar to our cells.

Our insulin levels go down if we refrain from snacking between meals. This is a good thing. It allows our fat cells to release this stored sugar for energy.

The bottom line is that we lose weight when our insulin levels go down. The whole premise of IF is to let allow our insulin levels go down far enough to let us start burning fat.

IF can help our bodies do this. And the easiest and most painless way for us to achieve this result is by restricting our eating hours during the day, not snacking, and fasting through the night while we are asleep

For example only eat between 7 am and 3 pm or 10 am and 6 pm and then stop. No more eating. No more snacking. You body will thank you. It gets to rest. No more food, no more insulin fluctuations, no more weight gain. Your body can start to release the sugar from its cells.

This routine of simply altering the timing of your meals by either eating earlier in the day and extending the IF over night can significantly improve metabolism. The benefits are lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar. loss of weight, reductions in asthma, arthritis, inflammation and cancer.
